The Power of Being Heard

Professional audio production console and sound engineering setup supporting a live corporate conference session at the National AIDS Latinx Conference (NALA).

Many events focus on product launches or quarterly results. NALA helps people realize they aren’t alone. The National AIDS Latinx Conference (NALA) gathers healthcare professionals, advocates, community leaders, and people living with HIV to share knowledge, form connections, and improve access to care. This year, Protostream partnered with Lighthouse Creative Works to provide corporate event audio production for a ViiV Healthcare-sponsored session centered on stories of hope, acceptance, and community.

More Than a Presentation

The session blended live music with personal stories from members of the HIV-positive LGBTQIA+ community.

Speakers shared their own experiences with diagnosis, treatment, and the support systems that helped them move forward. Through those stories, they encouraged others to seek care, challenged the stigma surrounding HIV, and reminded people they don’t have to face it alone.

Rather than standard keynote presentations, these were honest conversations shared openly with an audience that truly recognized the significance of every word.

Where Production Fits In

Our core role stayed the same: making sure that every speaker can be clearly heard and every musical performance was presented in a way that felt right for the moment. The production needed to support an environment where the audience’s attention stayed exactly where it belonged.

When someone shares a deeply personal experience, each word counts.

Built Together

One of the best parts of this industry is working alongside teams that truly care about the experience they’re creating

Lighthouse Creative Works brought together music, storytelling, and education to create a space where people could speak openly about their experiences. Through its ongoing community outreach efforts, ViiV Healthcare continues to encourage people to seek treatment without fear or shame.

We’re grateful to have supported a project that gave those voices a platform.

Why It Matters

Events like NALA remind us why we do what we do.

It’s a privilege to work alongside organizations using live events to bring people together, encourage conversation, and build community. At Protostream, we’re honored to support the teams creating experiences that bring people together.
