At Protostream, we don’t just hire talent, we invest in the kind of people who solve problems before they exist. The kind of people who know the gear, know the pressure, and know how to show up when it counts. That’s why we’re proud to officially welcome Chris Haywood and Dan Overheim as partners on the Protostream team.
With decades of combined experience in live audio, system design, touring, and remote mixing, Chris and Dan bring deep technical knowledge, creative thinking, and a passion for the work that matches our own.
From warehouse tech to mixing festivals and awards shows, Chris has always been hands-on. He’s worked everywhere from Chastain Park to the Atlanta Symphony, and he’s constantly pushing the boundaries of system design and new technology. At Protostream, he’s excited to get back to his roots, collaborating with a forward-thinking team that’s as dedicated to the craft as he is.
Fun fact: Chris and his wife spent 10 years living (mostly) off-grid in an Airstream, traveling the U.S. with their two chihuahuas. DIY projects, bike adventures, and a serious Star Wars obsession round out the picture.
Dan’s path to audio started with a guitar and ended with a move to Atlanta and a full dive into the world of event production. Since then, he’s taken on just about every role. From FOH and monitor mixing to comms tech, RF coordination, and system tech. He thrives on problem-solving and is energized by the challenge of pushing boundaries with people he trusts.
Fun fact: Dan and his wife Melissa share their home with four dogs, love DIY home projects, and are currently building a home theater speakeasy bar in their basement. Also, he’s an avid golfer with serious game.
At Protostream, our people are our process. We’re proud to say this isn’t just another team expansion…it’s the right people in the right seats, ready to raise the bar for live audio production.
Need a crew that gets it? You’re in the right place.
